Income + Quality at a Discount

Our last paper showed loss making low quality firms were driving the market while many of the highest quality firms could be bought at steep discounts to the market.

For income oriented investors, this is a great time to revisit our “Fort Knox Firms” and “Durable Dividend Payers”.  We believe these companies offer healthy income funded by businesses that have withstood even the most difficult economic downturns.

As the chart below shows, S&P500 Durable Dividend Yields are nearly 5x higher than the 10-Year Treasury, an all-time record.
